  1. Now thats a pretty thoughtful post…I have a book related to inventions and discoveries and i have read out a fact from it long way back so i dont remember clearly but it says Heels were Originally invented for men’s and especially for those who worked..I wish I remembered that whole thing…

    1. Thanks Adi for reading and commenting. May be you are right but it is women who wear it the most these days.

          1. ohh there’s no story behind that. when i feel like commenting i just see the reply box and hit it so yaa no logic but next time i will try to post with my name😂 told u am crazy

  2. 👏👏👏you too indeed one of my fav bloggers. comprehensive approach. Insightful. Suggestions. Interesting topics.Word flair. You name it he has it, thats sid. You rock,!

      1. Is it? My heart only connects with lavish, hence automatically lavish. Lol..just kidding 🙂

          1. That is so kind of you:) honoured that you think I deserve it, but I think I really don’t, thank u so so so much again:)

            1. This is so hurtful Jay. I feel my wisdom and my analysis has been trashed. Anyways you have your own reasons for not accepting this award. Choice is yours. Thanks.

  3. Liked, double liked and loved this post, Siddhartha. Stilettos scream for attention whether it is at a mall, a hospital or in an office setting, but I will and must applaud these women who carry their entire weight and dignity on the tips of their toes, simply because ‘I’ cannot. The need to have my back intact for myself and my kids overpower the reason to tower over the ever-increasing crowd of the glamorous ‘Stiletto-ed’ women. It is time women and the organizations that impose such rules wake up that fact.
A big round of applause from me for this one, Siddhartha.

    1. Wao!! Thanks so much for these mesmerizing words and such insightful feedback. My motivation levels have skyrocketed after reading this feedback. I am grinning from ear to ear and coming from you is what makes it so special.

        1. Hehe. I have always been fascinated by stilettos and how women manage to wear them, this incident acted as a catalyst.

  4. Well well well!!!! I myself love to wear heels ( though I am 5’4 ) oh but I love those 4 inches 😂
Your post is thought provoking, but if you could carry yourself well in the heels then once in a while they aren’t bad, of course wearing them everyday is not even my cup of tea either. Girls should keep in mind all the things before going for them.
    Loved your post as always☺️

    1. Don’t tell me, you are 5’4 with those 4 inches Lol. We will try to find someone over 6′ for you, then you can wear even 8 inches of pencil. Absolutely no harm in wearing them once in a while

        1. OMG. I so knew it. I had you in my mind when I was writing this one. Do you wear those to school? I know you wear them to rajouri.

          1. Lol did you see me at Rajouri?? 😂😂 I don’t usually wear at markets because shopping is quite tough then😁 well yes I wear them to school once in a while on any occasion.

            1. Offcourse I saw you, shopping for footwear at stilettos. Wearing them to school can be so taxing. Imagine the plight of poor children.

  5. Thanks for pointing me to your very interesting post.
The narrative starts with a provocative tone, implying some sexist approach, but changed course to support women against imposed rules on stilettos wear.
It turned to be also very informative and useful.
    Well done.
I’m not into stilettos and have a hard time to wear them without having back pain and headache.
I’m not and would never be obliged to wear it daily, otherwise I’d work in another industry. I guess it depends on the country.
    Thanks for your post.

    1. Thanks for such lavish praise. I am humbled and honoured. Thanks for your valuable and insightful feedback. Keep reading and keep sharing your thoughts. You are a brilliant writer.

  6. Very fluid writing and excellent points made about stilettos. I always felt unsteady wearing high heels as a teenager and stopped wearing them when I started working as a teacher. Personally I don’t think excessively high heels make a woman look attractive, more ridiculous!

    1. My wife is also a teacher and she never wears stilettos. It doesn’t make a woman look attractive you are absolutely right. Thanks so much for appreciating my writing. I really value such insightful feedback.

  7. You’ve started something here! I’m short and I mean ‘short’. But I hate wearing heels, much to my husband’s irritation. Give me flats and sneakers along with a pair of those clackers, I’ll go with those flats any day! 🤣

    1. I so well knew it. I loved the way you said Clackers. Haha. Did stilettos had a some role to play in your love story.

      1. No no not at all. I’ve always been a tomboy at heart. Some people tried to change that. I showed them I didn’t care. I stick to my flats, always will. I couldn’t care less if I looked like Deepika Padukone in heels, I value comfort over fashion any day, any time! And oh clackers comes from the movie The Devil Wears Prada. That’s where I first heard of the term 😉

        1. Yeah.. way to go.. I am impressed by your confidence. All good things come in small packages 🤗

  8. In addition to being a thoughtful post, again, I’m mostly impressed by your incredible skills in writing, and your ability to piece words together in such an elegant way. It’s just amazing!

    1. Thanks Issabell for such lavish praise. I am humbled and honoured. Keep reading and sharing.

  9. I wore stilettos when I was younger. Even wore them when I went dancing. Big mistake. They may look good but they’ll ruin a woman’s feet. By the way, those shoes in the picture are so cute — but they do look uncomfortable!

  10. Lovely post.
i am a short gal but i don’t like wearing those tick tack toe stilettos except where its necessary, they are so painful and i just can’t take so much pain to look what i am not.
I liked your ideas and views and thanx for this nice post. 🙂

    1. Thanks Tina for Sharing your feedback. I really appreciate. Keep reading and keep sharing.

    1. Thanks for liking and commenting. Read other posts as well. You might find them interesting.

  11. What a great post! Very well written.
I do admire stilettos and own a couple, however, I wear them only on occasions that require very less walking. I do dress to impress, but only myself and no one else. And you are absolutely right about the connection between heels and the feel good factor.Even though I have a pretty good height, wearing heels makes me feel good about myself and elevates my confidence.

    1. Take care of your feet 😁😁 as well. You might require a podiatrist if you wear it too often.

  12. You write beautifully and the subject you’ve chosen makes the writing more enjoyable. I also love to watch ladies carrying the weight of their body on high heels 👠 and I am spellbound by the ease and confidence that they muster . A treat for the wondrous eyes of a woman 😉. No, I don’t wear stilettos 👠 for the simple reason that I don’t have the self confidence to do so.
Keep writing. I love to read you.

  13. I am normally not so good at sustaining concentration for a long time but your writing is definitely defying that reality. Informative, interesting and I found myself chuckling every now and then.

  14. Do high heels make running difficult? I’m thinking of a 19th-century fashion, hobble skirts that bound the legs so women could barely run and had to maintain a “dainty” pace. Interesting and informative piece for someone like me who knows nothing about fashion. I always wondered about those heels and don’t recall seeing them as an element of attraction.
